Honeymoon in Chapada Diamantina: a 5-day itinerary
We host many couples here at the pousada, and one thing we have learned is that a honeymoon is not always the first one. We have welcomed people who lived together for many years before they could marry on paper, people who married in a rush and never traveled afterward, and people who only now managed to get time off together. Some celebrate anniversaries and vow renewals, and some turn every trip into a new honeymoon!
So when we say honeymoon here, we mean any trip that celebrates the couple.
And Chapada is a great place for it. There are waterfalls, crystal-clear blue pools, natural swimming holes and cinematic sunsets. At night, the historic center of Lençóis is full of charm: some streets and squares fill up with tables and chairs where you can have dinner with live music, in a relaxed atmosphere that mixes romance and nightlife.
Below is the description of our honeymoon package, with 5 nights of lodging and 4 days of tours and hikes.
The itinerary, day by day
First night: arrival at the pousada. The package includes a round-trip transfer from the bus station or from the Lençóis airport, and special room decoration for your arrival.
Second night and first day of tours: a visit to Gruta da Lapa Doce, Fazenda Pratinha and the artisanal sweets shop Doceria D'Afra.
Third night and second day of tours: Cachoeira do Mosquito, Rio Mucugezinho, Cachoeira do Poço do Diabo and Morro do Pai Inácio.
Fourth night and third day of tours: Poço Encantado and Poço Azul.
Fifth night and fourth day of tours: a boat trip through the Mini Pantanal of Marimbus and Parque da Muritiba.
Farewell. There is usually time for a slower breakfast before you leave. The honeymoon package also includes a couple's photo session. We can schedule it that day, after breakfast and before you leave, or at another point during the tours.

Who runs the tours
The tours in our packages are run by Chapada por Elas, a travel agency led by women from the region, with the same care for details that we have here at the pousada.
